LIFE Dedicated to service, education, and research in the interest of addressing suffering, restoring the human spirit, and broadening understanding.

INSTITUTE Founded in 1987. Staffed by highly dedicated and trained individuals who draw on a wide range of scientific, professional, and creative disciplines and who connect with organizations, institutions and individuals who share the same concerns. WLI is a 501(c)3 organization in the United States and a registered charity in Canada.

Our reason for being is captured in the Latin phrase that became our motto:

Our projects and programs endeavor to bring LIGHT to the marginalized and oppressed, to ENLIGHTEN through education that is available to all who seek it, and to shine LIGHT on facts and information that affect human well-being and the survival of the planet.

Our projects and programs are focused on HEALING in the broadest sense—physical and psychological—for humanity and for the Earth.

The WOUNDS we strive to cure are many—from loss of parents in wartime, to radiation illnesses, to the stigma of being uneducated or illiterate.

SUPPORT AND FUNDING

All directors, researchers, faculty, and staff serve on a voluntary basis.

Funding is provided by program revenues, donations from the public, contributions from members, and grants from other non-profit institutions and councils.
