World Life Institute Education Center at a Glance

Building Bridges

World Life Institute Education Center is a lovely octagonal stone building located on a quiet country road in Waterport, New York. It houses several classrooms and offices as well as a computer lab, pottery studio, kitchen, and multi-purpose room. 

​

The Education Center provides facilities for several projects and programs, including:

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), U.S. Civics and Citizenship, Life Skills and Career Readiness, and Computer Skills classes for Adult English language learners. Programs are provided in collaboration with Orleans-Niagara Board of Cooperative Educational Services. (BOCES) which receives its funding from New York State Department of Education.  Classes are held on weekday mornings and evenings.

  • Community pottery classes and workshops taught by potter Deborah Wilson.  

  • Private and small group tutoring in a variety of subject areas.

  • Sunday parent-child programs.

  • Office space and program facilities for Project Life War Orphans Rehabilitation Program.

  • Access to rooms and outdoor green space for community meetings and social events.
